Which are the cheapest cities in Europe?

Do you know which ones are most expensive and cheapest places in Europe. We have a lot of information about it.

Traveling in Europe is amazing. However, when traveling on a tight budget you might need to be more selective which places you visit.

The company Simply holiday deals created this very informative and interesting infograph about the daily budget you need at some cities in Europe.

After traveling almost all 51 countries in Europe, I have been seeing this graphic very into detail and I think is one of the most accurate right now. From the most expensive city in Europe, where you need almost 100 EUR to survive on a budget to the cheapest one, where you can spend 20 EUR per day and still have some cash for a beer.

While numbers are also very accurate, you have to take into consideration that the statistics are counting that you are paying for accommodation and eat at restaurants.

According to Matador Network, the costs — which is called the “European Backpacker Index” — include a night in a hostel, two trips on public transportation, one paid attraction, three budget meals, and three drinks.

Websites like Couchsurfing can help you finding accommodation for free and you can always cook at home.

Baku in Azerbaijan is in my opinion the cheapest city in Europe. A 30 minute taxi ride costs 1 EUR and a 3 course meal in a very good restaurant costs 3-4 EUR
The design of the city is also amazing!

For travelers visiting Europe, my recommendation is to see behind the usual tourist destinations and explore the areas, where not many travelers have gone. You will encounter people who are happier to see you and you can have a way more memorable experience.
