- Transportation around the island is slow. Rent a car and don´t waste time going from one place to another.
- Try different sports and activities. Malta is one of the best destinations in Europe for scuba diving, climbing and kayaking.
- Compare prices and services before booking an “around the island” tour.
- Respect the culture. Dress respectfully when visiting churches and other important heritage sites.
- Malta can get full in high season. Book your accommodation in advance to avoid bad surprises.
- Watch a sunset at the infinity pool in Café del Mar in Bugibba.
- Malta has more than 300 days of sun. Always take sunscreen and sunglasses with you.
- Visit the island during the Isle of MTV music festival. You will party with artists like Enrique Iglesias or Jason Derulo + it´s free
- Gozo is not as small as it seems on the map. Rent a scooter and make the most of your day traveling around this beautiful island.
- Take a ferry to Comino and explore the tiny island by yourself.
- Popeye Village is probably one of the most beautiful hidden gems in Europe.
- There are not many exchange houses in Malta. Take with you a credit card without foreign fee and avoid running out of cash.
- Most locations in Valletta, Silema or St Julians offer free WiFi. Still, you can get a prepaid SIM card with 1GB internet at the airport for only 20 EUR.
- If you spot the Coffee Circus bicycle, stop and have some coffee. It is probably the best coffee I’ve had on the island.
- The ferry between Malta and Gozo starts operating at 5:00 and departs every 45 minutes until midnight.
- The Malta Tourist Authority has an information booth at the airport. Get a free map and tour information there.
- Finish your day drinking a glass of wine in some of the hip and cool bars at the coast of St Julian´s or Silema.
- Start your day at the Tigne Seafront in Silema, one of the coolest locations in Malta, and take a swim in front of Valletta.
